Privacy Policy

1. Policy scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Dongengin mobile app with Android package name com.dongengin.app, and the content services that support the app. The app operator and party responsible for data processing is Dongengin.

The app provides illustrated stories, audio, video, local collections, and a book catalog. The mobile app does not provide user account creation and does not require users to provide a personal identity to enjoy content.

2. Data we process

We apply a minimum data collection principle. The types of information that may be processed when the app is used are described in the table below.

Data we do not request

Dongengin does not request access to precise location, camera, microphone, contacts, messages, gallery, or phone number. We do not request a child's name, date of birth, school, home address, or profile.

3. Purpose of data use

The information described above is used to:

• display and deliver story, image, audio, video, and catalog content;
• store favorites and reading progress on the device;
• understand which features are used so the reading experience can be improved;
• maintain app stability, security, and performance;
• handle questions, privacy requests, or issue reports;
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use usage data for interest-based advertising. Collection of Advertising ID and ad personalization signals is disabled in the Android app.

4. Third-party services

To operate the app, we use service providers that process limited information under our instructions or when users choose to open their services.

Google Firebase

Firestore is used to provide content metadata. Firebase Analytics is used for app usage measurement and diagnostics. More information is available on the Firebase privacy page dan Google Privacy Policy.

Bunny.net

Bunny CDN, Storage, and Stream are used to deliver images and videos. Network requests to these services may generate technical logs such as IP address and request time. See Privacy & Data Policy bunny.net.

External stores or websites

The Get Book button may open Shopee or another seller website outside Dongengin. After the link is opened, that provider's privacy policy and terms apply. Dongengin does not control login, ordering, payment, or delivery processes on external services.

We do not sell users' personal data. Service providers only receive the data needed to perform the related technical functions.

5. Children's privacy and safety

Dongengin is designed for children to use together with parents or guardians. We designed the app so children can enjoy content without creating an account and without providing a personal identity.

• There are no chat features, public uploads, or friendships with other users.
• There are no third-party ads or personalized ads.
• Purchase links open only after a user action and lead to external services.
• Analytics is limited to feature measurement and must not contain a child's name or personal information.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has sent personal data to us, please contact us. After the request can be verified, we will delete the information in accordance with applicable law.

6. Data retention and deletion

• Local preferences are stored until users delete app data or uninstall the app.
• Analytics event data is retained for up to 14 months, unless a shorter period is applied in our service configuration. Aggregate statistics that no longer identify an app instance may be stored longer.
• Support messages may be stored for up to 2 years after the last communication so we can resolve and document requests.
• Security logs are stored only as long as needed for operations, abuse prevention, incident resolution, or legal obligations.

The app has no user accounts, so there is no account that needs to be deleted. Users can delete local data through device settings. Requests related to data under our control can be sent through the contact address below.

7. Data security

We use HTTPS connections, administrative access restrictions, Firestore security rules, and reasonable technical measures to protect data. Content write access is restricted to authorized administrators.

No electronic storage or transmission method is completely risk-free. If an incident affects user rights, we will take appropriate action and provide notice when required by law.

8. User and parent rights

In accordance with applicable law, users or parents/guardians may request information, correction, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or deletion of personal data under Dongengin's control.

Requests can be sent by email. We may request limited information to verify the request and will respond within the timeframe required by law. Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawfully performed beforehand.

9. International data processing

Firebase and Bunny.net operate infrastructure in various countries. Therefore, technical information may be processed outside the user's country. We choose providers that apply security and privacy protections and use appropriate data transfer mechanisms when required.

10. Policy changes

This policy may be updated when features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The update date will be listed at the top of the page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or appropriate official channels before the changes take effect.
